The FOD 5418, 5419, 5420 Variable Optical Attenuators
are designed for singlemode application at 1310 and 1550 nm or multimode application at 850 and 1300 nm. They allow
variable attenuation settings in range from 0 to 80 dB with resolution
0.05 dB.
- Optical margins of newly installed fiber spans verifying
- Power meter linearity or receiver sensitivity checking
- Equal insertion loss and low reflectivity in both directions of transmission
- Local control or remote PC control via RS-232 port
